Brett joined IFM Investors in April 2010 as Chief Executive. Brett is responsible for the development and execution of the firm’s strategy and the delivery of strong results for IFM Investors’ clients, shareholders and staff.
Brett’s experience spans over 30 years in financial services; he has held a range of leadership roles across funds management and financial planning. With this diversity of experience, Brett has brought a strong track record and unique insights to IFM Investors

Carol has an extensive career of more than 30 years across financial services and technology through executive positions and board memberships. Carol’s most recent executive position was as President and General Manager of Equifax Canada, where she introduced new data solutions and revenue streams with a diversified portfolio of risk management products. Previously, Carol held a number of executive roles with the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce across commercial banking, small business banking, risk management and strategic planning. Carol also has broad experience across a number of corporate and not-for-profit boards. She is the past Chair of Equifax Canada's Client Advisory Board, is a board member of American Express Bank of Canada and Infrastructure Ontario, and a member of the Investment Pension and Endowment Lands Committee of Trent University's Board of Governors. The latter is owned by the Province of Ontario and provides a wide range of services to support the Ontario government's initiatives to modernise and maximise the value of public infrastructure and property. Carol is a member of the Board Investment Committee and the Board Remuneration & People Committee.

Christian is responsible for the infrastructure business in Europe and for oversight of IFM Investors’ European infrastructure portfolio. Christian has a background in acquisitions, marketing, project development and operations management of energy and related infrastructure developments. For more than 20 years, he has worked for companies including Duke Energy, Santos, BHP Billiton, Bechtel and Woodside on medium to large-scale projects, successfully leading multi-disciplinary project teams. Christian represents IFM Investors as a Director on the boards of Arqiva Limited and Manchester Airports Group.

Deborah has had a long-standing, international career consulting to major corporations and organisations. Deborah's consulting experience spans a number of industries: Power and Resources, Industrials, Financial Services, Pharmaceuticals, Infrastructure, Retail, Health and Government Utilities, with extensive experience supporting the delivery and management of infrastructure assets. Alongside strategy development, building culture and delivering business performance improvement, Deborah has also provided executive coaching for CEOs, Executive Teams and Board Directors. Deborah is the Managing Director of JMW Consultants covering Asia Pacific and has an understanding of and experience with the complexities of undertaking business in Asia. Deborah has a Masters of Public Administration (Harvard) and in her earlier career worked as a Consultant and Advisor to a number of Australian and State Government departments. Deborah is a member of the Board investment Committee.

Garry is the founding Executive Chair of Industry Fund Services (1994) and now chairs IFM Investors Pty Ltd and the group holding company, Industry Super Holdings Ltd, as well as The New Daily (thenewdaily.com.au). He is also an Independent Director and past Chair of ME and was a foundation member of Melbourne’s Docklands Authority and Infrastructure Australia. As ACTU Assistant Secretary in the 1980s, Garry played a seminal role in the development of the industry superannuation fund movement and was the founding Chair of a number of today’s leading funds before leaving the ACTU to take on a range of consultancies in the early 1990s. Garry is a member of the Board Investment Committee and the Board Remuneration & People Committee.

Joshua is the firm’s Chief Commercial and People Officer, responsible for management of the Commercial and People Team. This involves supervising more than 40 staff globally on legal, tax, compliance, economic, responsible investment and human resource initiatives. Josh is also responsible for ensuring continuity and timely resolution of projects and tasks on behalf of the Chief Executive, and attention to and resolution of matters in the Chief Executive’s absence. Joshua has general corporate, commercial and tax experience gained at PwC, Allens Arthur Robinson and Blake Dawson Waldron. His previous roles involved advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and tax implications across the financial services sector. Joshua is Company Secretary to IFM Holdings Pty Ltd and its immediate subsidiaries, and is a director of IFM Investors (Japan) Pty Ltd.

Julio is responsible for IFM Investors’ infrastructure investment business in North America and manages the New York infrastructure team. Julio’s experience includes senior roles in deal sourcing, investment evaluation, transaction execution, asset management, investment banking and strategy. Julio has led several major infrastructure investments and has been director on the boards of various infrastructure companies, including the Port of Brisbane, NSW Ports, Ecogen Energy, Northern Territory Airports and Wyuna Water. Prior to joining IFM Investors, Julio held positions with Viant Capital, Bank of America, Robertson Stephens and Gemini Consulting.

Michael’s extensive career in funds management and financial services spans 35 years. His experience has been gained in both Australia and the US. Michael has had significant leadership responsibilities in various capacities as Head of Business Strategy (BT Funds Management), Joint Managing Director (Westpac Financial Services), CEO (Perpetual Funds Management and Principal Global Investors Australia), and more recently in the US as COO (Principal Global Investors) and President and Chief Operating Officer (Post Advisory Group LLC). Michael is a director of Industry Super Holdings as well as a Director of Industry Fund Services, the leading provider of financial products and advice services to industry superannuation funds in Australia, and is on the Investment Committee of the Steve Waugh Foundation Australia. He joined the board of IFS Insurance Services in April 2014, an entity that provides insurance solutions to industry superannuation funds and Australian corporate clients. Michael is Chair of both the Board Audit and Risk Committee and the Board Remuneration & People Committee and is a member of the Board Investment Committee.

Neil is responsible for managing all aspects of IFM Investors' active equities investment, advisory and management functions. This includes optimising the performance of active equity funds, building and maintaining strong client and third party relationships, managing and developing staff, and developing and maintaining quality assurance and compliance practices. Previously Neil held the role of Division Director at Macquarie Investment Management Ltd (Sydney), where he was responsible for portfolio management, research methodology, recruitment and marketing. Prior to this Neil held the role of Director at Rutherglen Capital (Sydney), Media Analyst at ABN AMRO (London) and Strategy Consultant at The L.E.K Partnership (London, Sydney).

Philip is responsible for managing all aspects of IFM Investors’ finance and operations functions, including investment accounting, portfolio administration, information technology, investment performance and treasury management. Prior to joining IFM Investors, Philip worked with the ANZ Bank in a Group Strategy role and was Head of ANZ Custodian Services. Previously, Philip worked in New Zealand in various senior finance and planning roles with Wrightson Limited, Trust Bank New Zealand Ltd and Toyota (NZ) Ltd.

Rich is responsible for the creation and management of IFM Investors’ debt investments strategies and portfolios, and for the debt investments team globally. He also heads IFM Investors’ North American debt investment business. Based in New York, Rich has more than 20 years of experience in originating, analysing, structuring and arranging debt facilities for large infrastructure projects. Rich’s experience includes fixed and floating rate debt instruments across a broad credit and industry spectrum, and he has a specialty in the US energy sector, which is the primary source of infrastructure debt issuance in North America. Rich joined IFM Investors after 10 years with RBS, where he was Head of Project Finance in North America. He also managed and was responsible for the bank’s US$3 billion portfolio of infrastructure investments. Prior to RBS, Rich spent nine years with Credit Agricole (Credit Lyonnais) as a senior banker structuring, analysing and underwriting project finance debt.
Senior Advisor & Chair of Investment Committee

Robin is a member of IFM Investors’ Leadership Team, Risk Committee and Chair of the Investment Committee. Gaining his original qualifications as a Mining Engineer in 1975, Robin later returned to university to conduct research for his PhD in rock mechanics, which was awarded in 1981. In 1986 he switched careers into banking, commencing as a project finance analyst, but moving on to a variety of corporate lending and risk management roles within the National Australia Bank (“NAB”). This included two years as a senior head office credit officer approving large project finance and infrastructure loans. In 1998 he was invited to move across to National Asset Management (“NAM”), a funds management subsidiary of the NAB, in order to take credit investment skills into their fixed interest team. While at NAM, Robin commenced managing debt investments on behalf of IFM Investors’ diversified pure credit fund, the Alternative Fixed Income Fund, from its inception in 1999. Despite changing employers since then, this key role moved with him and has continued without break to this day. In 2005, he joined ME Bank to expand its funds management capability, later moving to IFM Investors, where he was Global Head of Debt Investments until June 2016. Robin’s career has covered many facets of corporate lending and project finance, as well as other aspects of risk management and the credit approval process. His move to funds management was in advance of the mainstream adoption of credit as an Australian asset class. He has been closely involved with the evolution of infrastructure debt as a special sub-set of the credit risk asset class.

Steven is responsible for IFM Investors’ Private Equity platform, including the firm’s Australian and international fund-of-funds programs and direct investment initiatives. Steven has invested in private companies since the mid 1980s and has extensive experience supporting mid-market companies with replacement, growth and buyout capital. He co-founded South African private equity manager Horizon Equity Partners, where he established a successful investment track record that spanned 18 years and four fund vehicles. Steven led a number of Horizon’s flagship investments, particularly, in business services, consumer brands, health care and information technology. Prior to joining IFM Investors, Steven spent two years at niche private investment and advisory firm The Wingate Group, where he was Head of Private Equity. Steven started his career at leading private equity firm Berkshire Partners, in Boston.

Tania is responsible for managing IFM Investors’ brand, communications and marketing strategies globally, and is a member of the firm’s Leadership Team. Tania has extensive experience in marketing investment solutions to institutional clients, managing global media and communication programs, developing investor pitches and proposals, and collaborating across global markets. Prior to joining IFM Investors, Tania worked as Senior Communications Manager at KPMG, where she led marketing strategies for Infrastructure, Climate Change, Corporate Finance, Economics, Energy and Natural Resources, and Industrial Markets. Tania has also previously worked as Head of Communications at AMP Capital, Senior Communications and Marketing Manager at ABN AMRO, and Vice President Corporate Communications at Deutsche Bank. Tania holds a Bachelor of Arts (Communications) from The University of Newcastle and a Graduate Certificate in Management from the Australian Graduate School of Management.
The Hon. Greg Combet AM

Greg joined the IFM Investors Board following a high profile and successful six years in Cabinet, Ministerial and Parliamentary Secretary roles in the Australian Government. During this time he was Minister for Industry and Innovation, Minister for Climate Change and Energy Efficiency and Minister for Defence Personnel, Science and Materiel. His skills encompass policy making, implementation of major programs, contract review and conflict management. Prior to this Greg held the role of ACTU Secretary for eight years and Assistant Secretary for six years before that. Greg has been a Director of both AustralianSuper (2002-07) and ME bank (2006-07) and returned to the Board of ME Bank in 2014. He is adept in advocacy, governance and financial management. Greg is a member of the Board Investment Committee.

Valentina leads the firm’s Investor Relations strategy globally and has specific operational responsibility for Investor Relations in Australia. Valentina also is also a member of the Leadership Team and secretariat of the firm’s Shareholder Advisory Board and the Investor Advisory Committees of the Australian and Global infrastructure funds. Her experience includes a range of executive roles in superannuation and wealth management. Prior to joining IFM Investors, Valentina held positions with Link Financial Markets, UniSuper, JB Were and Jacques Martin Industry Funds Administration. Valentina has completed a Master of Organisational Leadership (Melbourne Business School), a Bachelor of Arts (University of Melbourne), a Diploma of Financial Services (Superannuation) (Macquarie University) and a Graduate Diploma of Organisational Leadership (Melbourne Business School). Valentina is an Associate of the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia.
