About Esperanza
Esperanza is IFM Investors’ Chief Risk Officer, responsible for the management of the firm’s risk and compliance obligations globally.
Esperanza reports to IFM Investors’ Chief Executive with functional reporting to the Board Audit and Risk Committee, and is a member of the firm’s Global Strategy Team. Esperanza is based in IFM Investors’ London office and is an accomplished risk executive, with more than 20 years of global experience in risk management roles in large-scale global financial services firms.
Most recently, she was UK Chief Risk Officer and Global Head of Enterprise Risk Management for Deutsche Bank's partially listed asset management business DWS Group, based in London. Esperanza spent 16 years with Deutsche Bank/DWS, and has also worked in the US and Europe with numerous regulators. She has broad experience across global markets and direct experience in asset management across a range of asset classes, including infrastructure, private equity, real estate and equities.
