About Laurence

Laurence leads the IFM Listed Equities Quant team. This team is currently focused on research and portfolio management for ESG, Climate change/Low Carbon and Factor strategies. Laurence’s previous roles have included Investment Director Quantitative Analysis at the Victorian Funds Management Corporation; Investment Director (Asset Allocation) at Westpac Investment Management; and Senior Portfolio Manager at Rothschild Australia. His experience covers the research, design and portfolio management of systematic strategies. He has given many conference presentations and co-authored a number of articles within peer-reviewed academic journals. He has lectured for a number of courses including the Macquarie Applied Finance Centre’s Masters of Applied Finance and the CFA Society of Melbourne’s Review Course. He has previously been a board member and Education Chair of the CFA Society of Melbourne, Deputy Chair of the Monash University Department of Accounting and Finance advisory committee, and a member of the organising committee for the Q-Group (Australia).
