IFM Investors Adds to North American Infrastructure Debt Team with Senior Hire

IFM Investors today announced that Jessica Egan Thompson will join the company as Associate Director of North American Debt Investments. The addition further bolsters IFM Investors’ North American infrastructure debt team, which is led by Rich Randall out of the company’s New York City offices.

In her new role, Jessica will be responsible for originating, executing, and managing infrastructure debt investments for IFM Investors’ institutional investors. She will report directly to Rich Randall, who joined IFM Investors as Executive Director of North American Debt Investments in October 2013.

Jessica joins IFM Investors from a position at The Royal Bank of Scotland, where she was Vice President in Power Project Finance since 2012. In this role, she was responsible for executing structure project financing, capital raising and providing advice to clients in the power, utilities and renewable sector.  Prior to this, she held the role of Associate in Power Project Finance and Corporate Finance Advisory.

“Investment opportunities in infrastructure debt are growing and institutional investors are taking note as they continue to experience low returns from traditional fixed income portfolios,” said Rich Randall.

IFM Investors has a 15-year track record of investing globally in infrastructure debt for long-term institutional investors. It expanded its infrastructure debt capability to the U.K. and Europe with the appointment of David Cooper as Executive Director Debt Investments in December 2012, and expanded to North America with the appointment of Rich Randall in 2013. All told, a total of six investment professionals have joined IFM Investors’ debt teams in the U.S. and U.K. in the past eighteen months. Globally, IFM Investors’ Debt Investments Team is made up of 21 investment professionals and manages more than $2 billion in infrastructure debt investments.
