Video: Fed Wrap – Fed prepares for policy tightening – Ryan Weldon
Summary
Ryan Weldon, from IFM’s Debt Investments Team in New York, features in our Fed Wrap Market Update videos discussing central bank themes in debt markets, with a particular focus on the US Federal Reserve.
In this edition, Ryan discusses the US Federal Reserve’s recent shift into policy tightening mode and the extent of the rate hikes that are currently priced into the market for 2022. The Fed now appears poised to commence tightening in March,
although there remains considerable debate over whether this initial rate rise will be 25 or 50 basis points.
