Designed by Woods Bagot, it accommodates more than 5,000 public servants and is one of Brisbane’s tallest buildings at 259.8 metres.
Completed in 2016, the building has been a catalyst for the revitalisation of Brisbane’s Parliamentary and government precinct, reconnecting the city with the river and the Botanic Gardens. With a gross floor area of nearly 120,000 square metres and a net lettable area of over 76,000 sqm, the modernist tower delivers best-in-class office space, supported by ground floor retail, 318 basement car bays and excellent connectivity to Brisbane CBD.
1 William Street is considered one of Brisbane’s most environmentally efficient office towers, setting a benchmark for sustainable high-rise development in Australia. In 2018, it earned international recognition with a prestigious GBCA 6 Star Green Star – rating, placing it among the world’s top green buildings.
