Proposed data centre in key digital precinct

The proposed Julius Avenue Data Centre in North Ryde will deliver 26,076 square metres of gross floor area across six levels, housing 12 data halls with integrated mechanical services and infrastructure on each floor. A five-storey office building will front Julius Avenue, while a six-storey separate structure at the rear will accommodate emergency generators. The site plan also incorporates two pedestrian links to nearby bushland, a new internal road and landscaping with offset planting to strengthen the natural buffer. Land has been reserved for a future 132 kV Ausgrid switching station to support both the Julius Avenue Data Centre and the surrounding grid.

Designed to meet Sydney’s rising demand for secure, high-capacity data infrastructure, the proposed facility will provide an IT load of 115.2 megawatts with a peak draw of 169 megawatts, plus basement parking for 54 vehicles. The 2.86 hectare site sits within the Macquarie Park strategic employment precinct, approximately 15 kilometres northwest of the Sydney CBD.
