Our inclusive workplace initiatives and industry commitments

We are actively involved in industry-led initiatives and commitments that reflect our Inclusive Workplace Strategy. We partner with a range of not-for-profit organisations and other internal and external forums that strive to make a lasting positive difference.

A few examples of internal and external initiatives and commitments are:

  • Inclusion Forums – We have Inclusive Workplace Forums and employee led communities operating within each region, open to all employees to join

  • PrIdeFM – In Australia, we have another internal community open to all, to support our people who identify as part of the LGBTQ community and their allies.

  • 40:40 Vision: IFM is an inaugural signatory to this investor-led initiative founded by HESTA in Australia, and we continue to participate in initiatives to promote greater female representation in ASX300 executive leadership teams

  • Family Friendly Workplace Certification – In Australia, we are certified as a Family Friendly Workplace meeting the Australian National Work + Family Standards.

  • CareerTrackers: In Australia, we partner with CareerTrackers to support pre-professional First Nations university students by connecting them with employers for paid, multi-year internships. This is aligned to our broader Corporate First Nations Strategy.

  • AWEI Bronze Tier Status: IFM Investors has proudly achieved bronze tier status with the Australia Workplace Equality Index (AWEI).  The AWEI now stands as the definitive national benchmark on LGBTIQ+ workplace inclusion.

  • The Pinnacle Foundation: In Australia, we’re proud partners of The Pinnacle Foundation, supporting young LGBTQIA+ Australians with the IFM Investors Scholarship. Each year, scholarships are awarded to help students pursue tertiary studies.

  • Prep-for-Prep: In our New York office, we partner with Prep for Prep. Prep for Prep identifies and supports New York City’s most promising students from modest backgrounds, preparing them for success in independent schools and future leadership pathways.

  • Young Women into Finance: In our London office, we partner with Young Women In Finance (YWIF). YWIF is focused on providing very bright, young women with a pathway into a finance career.
