About Lindsay

Lindsay Tanner is a former member of the Australian Government as Minister for Finance from 2007 to 2010 and currently serves as Director of the Suncorp Group, Virgin Australia International and the Future Skills Organisation.
Mr Tanner has previously served as Chair of the Mitchell Institute for Health and Education Research, Australasian Railway Association, Certane Group and Essendon Football Club. He has also served as Director of National Financial Solutions Pty Ltd and Covata Ltd, as well as Member of the Department of Defence First Principles Review and Australian Advisory Board to Canada Steamships Ltd.
Mr Tanner served as the Federal Member for Melbourne from 1993-2010 and following his time in the Federal Parliament was a Special Advisor to Lazard Australia from 2010-2021. Mr Tanner has also held the roles of Assistant Secretary and Secretary of the Federated Clerks Union (Victorian Branch).
Lindsay is Chair of the IFM Board Audit and Risk Committee and a member of the Board People and Remuneration Committee.
