Southern Cross Station has a key role in Victoria's public transport growth plans and approximately 63 million people use the facility annually. The station is owned, operated and maintained under a 30-year concession to 2036 from the Victorian State Government. 

The Southern Cross Station retail offering continues to undergo redevelopment to better cater for patron need and convenience, and to attract high quality tenants.
