Video: Is higher inflation more than transitory? – Alex Joiner
Summary
IFM’s Chief Economist, Alex Joiner, features in our Monthly Economic Update video discussing recent key developments in economies and markets globally.
This edition was recorded at the end of Melbourne’s lockdown, with Alex discussing the factors behind the recent acceleration in global inflation and how it has impacted global bond markets. A key question for investors is whether this is
just a temporary blip, or the start of a more persistent inflationary trend.
