Asset priorities
The M1 includes a 1.7-kilometre tunnel and enables motorists to bypass 19 sets of traffic lights. Tolls are fully electronic and are only charged for northbound traffic. The M1 benefits from a 48-year concession to 2048.
In April 2020, management entered into a renewable PPA, which will remain in effect until December 2030 and is expected to enable a substantial reduction in the asset’s emissions.^ This PPA is part of Transurban's broader agreement that includes other NSW toll roads. The PPA is supported by two wind farms and the initiative is in line with IFM’s net zero commitments.
