IFM Investors appoints Romilly Madew AO as Chair of Australian Infrastructure Investor Advisory Committee

Industry superannuation-owned private markets funds manager, IFM Investors has today announced that former Infrastructure Australia Chief Executive Romilly Madew AO has been appointed as the new chair of the Australian Infrastructure (AI) Investor Advisory Committee (IAC).
Ms Madew is currently the CEO of Engineers Australia and brings decades of experience in leadership roles across infrastructure and sustainable buildings and communities.
As CEO of Infrastructure Australia, Ms Madew was responsible for overseeing the organisation’s role as an independent advisor on nationally significant infrastructure investment planning and project prioritisation.
Prior to that, she served as the CEO of the Green Building Council of Australia for 13 years and in 2019 was awarded an Order of Australia in recognition of her contribution to Australia’s green building movement.
Ms Madew brings decades of experience as a member of Boards and Committees and currently holds positions as:

Chair, IAC UNSW Institute of Industrial Decarbonisation;

Board Member of Placemaking NSW;

Member of the Infrastructure Forum for the Australian Academy of Technology & Engineering (ATSE);

Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers Enabling Better Infrastructure Steering Group (UK);

Member Champions of Change STEM and Health; and

Director of Minerva Network (supporting Australia’s elite sportswomen).
She has previously held roles such as Member of the Federal Government Circular Economy Ministerial Advisory Committee; Federal Government appointee of G20 EMPOWER – Empowerment and Progression of Women's Economic Representation and Member of the CEO Advisory Group for National Women in Transport. As CEO of IA, Ms Madew was Chair of the Australian Infrastructure Bodies CEO Network, Co-Chair of the International Infrastructure Bodies Forum, Chair of the Cross Jurisdictional Meeting (Federal and State Infrastructure, Transport and Treasury Senior Officials), and Member of the Federal Government’s Significant Projects Infrastructure Delivery Office (SPIDO).
Ms Madew will replace outgoing Chair Brad Vann who has served as AI AIC Chair for nine years.
